1934
On 1 May the company Andreas Abele is founded as a haulage firm for milk collection with one truck.
1935
Abele is awarded the first concession for long-distance traffic and can acquire another truck. The technical standard of the day was an engine producing greenhouse gases and a charcoal carburettor.
1939-1945
During the Second World War In addition to transporting milk, emergency removals are carried out for people bombed out of their homes. Later, the founder of the company, Andreas Abele, is conscripted into the Wehrmacht and the vehicles are commandeered.
1974
The business is handed over to the sons Heinz and Werner Abele.
1984
In 1984 the company celebrates its 50th anniversary. At this time the company has nine employees and seven vehicles. In the same year the company changes its name to Heinz Abele, Nah- und Ferntransporte [Heinz Abele, local and long-distance transport].
1991
With son Uwe Abele the third generation joins the company. At the same time the company completes the change to ABELE Spedition u. Transport GmbH.
2007/2008
The company relocates: Our new location offers much better infrastructure and is also ideally suited for future growth. A new, modern and environmentally friendly warehouse is constructed with a 100 kWp photovoltaic array.
2009
Jubilee: 75 years Abele Transport For 75 years you have placed your trust in us and our logistics solutions. We would like to express our sincere thanks and will continue to offer you one-stop transport solutions in the future.
For generations the name Abele has stood for reliable transport solutions and for several years the company has been an established major player in the field of special haulage.
For 90 years we have not only been carrying goods and products. Abele has also carried forward our ideas and experience into the future. "Tradition does not consist in veneration of the ashes, but the passing of the flame."
So you can be certain that with Abele you will continue to have a strong and growing partner at your side that will drive forward innovation to meet your requirements.
We have also expanded our capacity in order to be ready to meet any challenge in the field of storage. With a total warehouse area of 5,000 m² and an outside storage area of 3,000 m² we have sufficient capacity and reserves to meet even peak demand. We can store temperature-sensitive goods in the warm and dry – a total of 10,400 m² of our warehouse is heated.

We are on the road for our customers in a modern vehicle fleet. Fitted with environmentally friendly, low-emission EURO 5 and EURO 6 technology we can look to the future with confidence, but without resting on our laurels. We are constantly modernising our vehicle fleet and in doing so pay particular attention to green technology. Even the optimization of transport routes and the avoidance of empty trips not only save money, but above all protects our common environment!
>Our new building: In the design of our new building we paid particular attention to the use of alternative and renewable sources of energy.
For energy recovery we use modern heat pumps and photovoltaic panels. On the roof of the new warehouse Abele are generating clean electricity from the sun's energy with a photovoltaic array with a capacity of 150 kWp. This saves the environment 120,750 kg in carbon dioxide emissions.
