1934
On 1 May the company Andreas Abele is founded as a haulage firm for milk collection with one truck.
1935
Abele is awarded the first concession for long-distance traffic and can acquire another truck. The technical standard of the day was an engine producing greenhouse gases and a charcoal carburettor.
1939-1945
During the Second World War In addition to transporting milk, emergency removals are carried out for people bombed out of their homes. Later, the founder of the company, Andreas Abele, is conscripted into the Wehrmacht and the vehicles are commandeered.
1974
The business is handed over to the sons Heinz and Werner Abele.
1984
In 1984 the company celebrates its 50th anniversary. At this time the company has nine employees and seven vehicles. In the same year the company changes its name to Heinz Abele, Nah- und Ferntransporte [Heinz Abele, local and long-distance transport].
1991
With son Uwe Abele the third generation joins the company. At the same time the company completes the change to ABELE Spedition u. Transport GmbH.
2007/2008
The company relocates: Our new location offers much better infrastructure and is also ideally suited for future growth. A new, modern and environmentally friendly warehouse is constructed with a 100 kWp photovoltaic array.
